Specific danger points or features en-route: distance from start/finish

!! Between Tweedbank and Innerleithen – at 5.5 miles from Tweedbank – you arrive at Fairnilee Farm. From here the signed track (left over the bridge then immediately right) is rough-surfaced for a distance of 2.5 miles to Peel. Those with road bikes may need to use the main road A707 for an equivalent distance, rejoining the cycle route at Peel by crossing a small bridge left over the river. But please be aware that the A707 is a busy main road with poor visibility at bends and rises.

At Lyne Station – at 7.5 miles beyond Peebles – the track is rough for a short distance (0.25-0.5 of a mile) so road-bike cyclists may need to walk.
